Our Back‑to‑School Silent Disco is a welcoming, LGBTQIA+‑affirming celebration designed to bring youth, families, and allies together in a space filled with joy, connection, and belonging.

Guests receive wireless headphones with multiple music channels, allowing everyone to choose their vibe while enjoying a sensory‑friendly, inclusive experience.

Across the country, LGBTQIA+ youth, especially transgender and gender‑diverse young people, are facing unprecedented levels of legislative targeting and social hostility. Families report rising fear, isolation, and even relocation to ensure their children’s safety and access to care. National data shows that when LGBTQIA+ youth experience affirmation at school and in their communities, their rates of depression, anxiety, and suicide 

drop significantly.

These realities make one thing clear: intentional, joyful, community‑centered spaces are essential. Young people need places where they can simply be kids, surrounded by support, celebration, and belonging. The Back‑to‑School Silent Disco is designed to be exactly that kind of space.

• Year‑Round Allyship: Belonging isn’t seasonal. This event keeps visibility, support, and celebration going long after June.

LGBTQIA+ voices informed the planning, and free vendor spaces uplift LGBTQIA+‑owned, operated, and serving businesses. Representation, visibility, and community leadership are centered at every step.

• Community‑Powered Impact: One nonprofit uplifting another, families supporting families, and donors fueling a model of collective care. This event is built by the community, for the community.

• Family‑Friendly Fun: Erie Pride attendees asked for more youth and family events and we listened. This disco creates a safe, joyful space for kids, teens, and families to celebrate together.
